We have a VoIP network where all user's PCs plug into their Cisco IP phones for network connections and then the phones go to a bank of 3550 switches. The five 3550 switches are daisy chained together (by their GigE ports) and connect to a 4507 switch. One of our directors noticed that when he uses a PC connected via an IP phone it is *much* slower than if he connects directly to the 4507. I've tested this and confirmed it to be true. I'm new to this company, but I've been told that this has been happening ever since they introduced the IP phones. Is there anyone out there who has experienced this or can provide suggestions on the best way to troubleshoot it so I can do some benchmark testing?
