LAN to LAN Routing / Connectivity

Does Cisco have a simple router that is suitable for connecting two LANs via twisted pair (ethernet) or fiber optic cable?

Thanks for your assistance.

Re: LAN to LAN Routing / Connectivity

The 1710 router is a low end router with 2 RJ45 ethernet ports.

Re: LAN to LAN Routing / Connectivity

I appreciate your suggestion. Will this router work without a cable/DSL connection? The configuration requires a 10/100 hub (one per LAN) on either side of the router.

Re: LAN to LAN Routing / Connectivity

As mentioned the 1710 is a low end router that will do the job. You need ADSL/T1 etc only when connecting to an ISP or a remote office but as i understand it all you need to to connect two segments then the 1700 series should do it

thanks

The 831 also has 2 ethernet ports, one of which is 10Mb however.
