LAN

In LAN cable ,we have TX & RX pairs (1,2,3,6).In this , we have Tx+ & Tx- . Same is for Rx . what exactly + & - signify ?

Any electric signal requires 2 pairs of wires (+ve and -ve) to propagate. Same case here.

One pair for transmit (tx+, tx-)

One pair for receive (rx+, rx-)

Can I measure voltage on the same w.r.t ground ?
