Layer2 Switch - 12 Ports GBit SX - Which one?

I have a hard time finding a simple layer 2 switch with 12 GE Ports. I would prefer something like a simple 2950 but unfortunatly you only get 3550 with layer 3 capabilities or maybe an 3750 with SFP.

Any Hints? Need this device to connect my 2 Pix 525 (one active one failover) to my two CSS11506 Content switches. Currently only the primary is linked to the active Pix. In case of failure for the redundant configure Content Switches i would loose the uplink for the second switch.

So i made up my mind to connect the two Pix and the two CS via a simple layer 2 Switch.

Any clues what Series to go with?

Hi,

The 3550 and 3750 can behave exactly like a 2950.

By default the 3550 and 3750 do not have routing enabled.

So it is possible to use a 3550 and 3750 like a 2950.

There is 12 gbic port 3550, the model number is ws-c3550-12g.

Thanks for the answer, yep those are the switches which also managed to dig up.

The 3750 can be bought as Standard feature set without L3 capability - downside is the SFP. 3550 is okay but downside is that you pay for L3 features you don't really need.

But you're posting confirms my research - there is no optimal device for this situation. I'll let finance dep. decide which one they want.
