least configuration of snmp trap

hi,

i want to send config trap to management station,

what's the least configuration:

(assume 1.1.1.1 is ip of management station ,public is community string , snmp version 1)

1.

snmp-server enable traps config

snmp-server host 1.1.1.1 traps public

or 2.

snmp-server enable traps config

snmp-server host 1.1.1.1 traps public

snmp-server community public

shoud i input the sentence "snmp-server community public"?

The first scenario should suffice.

You don't need to setup a community string to send traps since you defined a community string in the trap statement.

But it's good practice to use the 2nd scenario
