Hi,
We have just installed VMS 2.2 and IDS MC 1.2 with a three month license.
When we launch IDS MC, Device menu, we have the error saying that the license has expired. But when we check in VPN/Security Management Solution>Administration>Common Services>Licensing information, it appears : Expiration date : March 11, 2004 !

Try this:
1. Take the Product Activation Key (PAK) number and go to the following website to generate a valid vms .lic file :
https://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Software/FormManager/formgenerator.pl?pid=821&fid-1221
2. Fill in the form with the VMS PAK number you will receive a license file via email.
3. Save this license file on the VMS server.
4. Browse into VMS, go to administration | Common Services | Licensing and browse to the new
license file. then select update.
OR
Try to use this PAK number as license number.
Alternately, you can mail licensing@cisco.com and find out why it could be so.
