Limiting number of SPAN sessions

We have a Catalyst 6509 with 2 super cards:

WS-X6K-SUP1-2GE and WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE.

My question: Is there any way to increase the number of SPAN sessions that monitor ingress AND egress traffic by more than the max of two? The literature says that up to 64 sessions can be created for tx traffic but only two for Rx and or both traffic.

This seems entirely inadequate as our old 3548 workgroup switch could do more than that!

If RSPAN is configured you can increase the no:of SPAN sessions.
