Hi,

i am trying to connect a 3640 router in a 2948 switch. On the router i

always get

a line protocol is down on the FE interface. But on the switch i got the

line protocol

is up on the port where the 3640 is connected. I tried a different cable ,

different port

of the switch , even a different 3640 and i always get the same behavior.

Any hints ?

thanks

are you sure , these interfaces are duplex and speed negotiating?

i tried forcing the speed/duplex on both sides .

100 Full same result

10 Full same result

Each time i modify speed or duplex , the line protocol goes up for maybe 2 seconds and then goes down again.

Also keepalives is enabled on both sides

port security orr any aditional characteristics are enabled??
