I have a very strange problem and I really hope I can tap into the foutain of knowledge available out there.
I am running a very simple switched network using a combination of 2900 and 3500 xl switches. They are remote to each other, connected across wireless bridges (not cisco).
ex.
3500 xl - site 1
ptp
2900 xl - site 2
ptp
3500 xl - site 3
Both 3500 are using the same versions of software.
The link between site 1 and site 2 is running fine but between site 2 and site 3 I keep on getting momentary line up/downs that last seconds. Initially I thought this was due to a simple duplex mismatch as the port was configured for auto but if I configure the port for full I get frame and crc errors. The ptp is set to auto.
I have swapped the cable, port and ptp unit. Equipment on both ptps is the same.
Any ideas gratefully received.
