Re: Link usage

Hi,

If thats a cisco Router or switch, you can use "Show interfaces" command and check the traffic rate in bits/sec, (exponential average aith a time constant of 5 min's), that should give you a fair idea of link utillization.

Enable IP accounting, and check the Host IP address which are sending the most No. of frames over the wire.

Hope this helps.

Re: Link usage

Hi,

thats only a transfe rate thr interfaces right...Ok..my router says output traffic is higher than the input..ours is 2mb..but most of time its tooo slow..

can i divide my 2mb to ethernets...say 128k to fa0/0 and remaining to fa0/1

whats the cmd...traffic-shape ? and how access list implementation for the same..can i use mac of particular port..i hv to give rate-limit for that interfaace right?
