Hi all,

I am using catalyst 4500 switch with supv-10ge on the distribution.

The issue i wanted to implement LLQ for voice traffic.

I am using "cat4000-i5k91s-mz.122-25.EWA1.bin" and cisco website says it will support llq.

when configuring class-map on this there is command priority or bandwidth.

x.x.x.x(config-pmap-c)#?

QoS policy-map class configuration commands:

<cr>

dbl Dynamic buffer limiting

exit Exit from QoS class action configuration mode

no Negate or set default values of a command

police Police traffic matching current class

service-policy Configure QoS Service Policy

set Set QoS values

trust Set trust value for the class

<cr>

I am geeting options like shown above.

I would like to know what ios will support llq on this platform?.

Regards,

Rajesh

Hi

i dont think you can define something like priority or bandwidth as we normally do while configuring LLQ.

Instead you can configure the same using the available options like set,dbl,police..

do refer this link for more info on the same and theres a example too being discussed which is very much i think inline with ur requirement..

Hi Prem,

In the 4500 distribution switch i have one L2 trunk going to access switch and one L3 uplink going to coreswitch.

what i have done is i have mapped voice dscp values to high priority queue ie 4.

and queue 4 is configured as a high priority in both L2 trunk and L3 uplink.

my concern is is it give required priority for my voice traffic coming from access switchs ? or i need to configure policy-map for L3 inteface

Regards,

Rajesh
