I am running in to a little problem in accessing the CiscoWorks application when I am directly connected to the WIN2K server when we have the IE browser setup so that it uses a SOCKS proxy to access the internet. When this is configured, I can browse the internet but get an Java I/O Exception when I go to http://cwservername:1741.
Anyone see anything like this before? I have done a bug search and have heard nothing.
CW2000 does not support proxy. If you have to use proxy to internet, you need put cw2000 server in the "exception" list. In IE, it's under "tools - internet options - connections - lan settings - advanced - exceptions". If DNS is working properly, put hostname should be fine. I will put both hostname and ip address at first to test.
