Load BAL HSRP over OSPF

I have 3 sites. 1 hub 2 spokes on HSRP. The HSRP sites are connected to each other over Fast E and it works. The client wants to load BAL outbound from the HSRP sites. Playing with metrics is not an option E2 route.

I am wondering if i take out bandwidth and put a cost of 1 on one PVC and 2 on the other PVC and in under ospf i put max paths-2. The client wants the load BAL to be on spare serial interfaces. So i will connect with a cross over from one HSRP router to the 2nd HSRP router and I will assign an ip address to each side of the serial link. I will add the serial crossover network under OSPF.

Any comments trying to hammer this out

Re: Load BAL HSRP over OSPF

To achieve loadbalancing with HSRP, you need to create 2 groups.

For group1, router A is the primary and router B is the backup.

For group2, router B is the primaru and router A is the backup.

Then you need to assigned halp your users to group1 and the other half to group2.

That's the only solution.
