load balancing over dual dds lines

I have am using two 1602 (and upgrading to 1721) routers to send udp data from one site to another. The encapsulation is hdlc. Latency and re-transmissions are undesirable. On the sending side, the ethernet port and both serial ports belong to a bridge group. The two serial ports also belong to the same circuit group (for load sharing). Neither router is configured for routing.

My problem is that under light to moderate traffic, all the data is sent down serial 1 and none down serial 0. The output queue of Serial 1 drops packets, evne though Serial 0 is not busy. If I disconnect serial 1, the data is sent over serial 0.

I expected that the data would be more evenly distributed between the serial ports. I would appreciate any suggestions?

In the interface configuration mode try these commands and check out .

router(config-if)#ip load-sharing ?

per-destination Deterministic distribution

per-packet Random distribution

Have you enbled virutal-template .

This also depends on the routing protocol you use to route too. like OSPF doesn't support unequal metric load balancing and

and EIGRP supports , but have to increase variance value.
