Hi!

I know that EIGRP does load-balancing by nature. The question i have is: waht if i want to wait untill my primary PVC gets full loaded to satart using the secondary PVC (like in a backup interface)?

Lets say i have a 1,5Mb FR PVC (primary) and a 1,2Mb FR PVC (secondary) how do i confidure it on a CS2600?

Thanks in advance,

Olindo

you can give backup load commands on primary subinterface, saying, when the second PVC should be triggered. after the traffic on primary goes beyond a threshold limit.

Here is a good start.

Hi!

I have the feeling that this only works with physical interfaces and not in subinterfaces like FR PVCs.

Hi try increasing the delay on the least prefered route. So that EIGRP will

only install the one route in the route table.

In other words increase the delay on the PVC that you only want to use for

backup, don't increase it so much that you no longer have an FS.
