I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to run load-sharing or load-balancing between two fast Ethernet modules to a switch cluster consisting of 4 2950. Ideally what I would like to do is have 2fe module, with one port of the servers and one port for the pcs to switch over to the other 2fe module if the first module fails. Any help with be greatly appreciated.
Re: Load Sharing with two FE modules on a 3600 Router
Thanks for your response.
So will this work with one router or will we have to purchase another one.
Just to clear this up a little if I have led you down the wrong path.
We are using one 3600 router that has two NM-2FE-2W modules installed. With one FE port for the PCs and one FE port for the Servers. How would we set up load-balancing between the 4 FE Ports(two modules) or use one module as the primary and the other module as a failover.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
