local-area mobility on Catalyst 3550

I have a Catalyst 3550-12T obviously running the layer 3 software. I have a customer that has a requirement to enable local-area mobility to support a certain application. It appears that the Catalyst 3550-12T does not support this functionality. Is this correct ? Is there any other IOS feature available on the 3550-12T that is similiar to the local-area mobility ?

Not supported. Contact your account team and they can request the development to have this feature included if it is technically feasible
