Local Director and Spanning Tree

I heard that if I install a Local Director on my network, I will need to turn off spanning tree. Is this true?

Re: Local Director and Spanning Tree

No. You just need to enable the portfast on the ports and need to trun OFF cdp if both ends of the local director is going to the same switch but different vlan, as Local Director will act as a bridge
