Local Director ARP problem

1. I can ping the local director 416 Virutal IP from any source

2. I can reach my application on the Virutal IP on the directly connected subnet

3. I can NOT reach my application on the Virutal IP from a foreign subnet

What am I doing wrong

Re: Local Director ARP problem

If you are able to ping the virtual IP from other subnets, but not reach the application, check the path that the packets are taking from the source to the virtual IP. You can use the 'traceroute' command to check whether the packets go through the Local director. They should not bypass the Local director.

Re: Local Director ARP problem

The issue was that my web servers are multihomed and the traffic was entering the LD facing interface and leaving another interface on that host.
