Is there a way to log DHCP assignments.
I have a 7206vxr, IOS 12.2(5), running as a DHCP server for several subnets. I need to log who has what IP in case of violations. I know about the Show IP dhcp bindings, but that only shows the lease until it expires. I need a daily record that will record the date, IP, and circuit. I have found no way to do this, and would really appreciate some help or advise.
Thanks
JT

Hi,
You may want to consider the Cisco Network Registrar solution.
More on the below url;
One of the feature is exactly what you need, i.e.
Logging DHCP address assignments for later analysis
Thanks,

I was hoping to find something in the router that allowed you to do this. I don't think we will want to spend any money to implement this. What about running a script on the router to make a copy of the ip route table, and copy it to a log file on a linux machine?
