hi mates :)

i have been using the

"#logging buffered "

command but now I need permanently save the log file in to the switch.

switch is 4500 series IOS version 12.2(20)

unfortunately I couldnt find the related command in this version (#logging file ....)

I was saving the log files in to flash on others switches (even older ones)unfortunately it looks like there is no chance to save log files in to flash on this IOS version.

Can anybody give me an advice or show me the right synthax i couldnt find on switch/datasheets :((

tx for helping.

Of what I understand, you want to save all your log messages, right?

Well what I would suggest is use a syslog server and all the logs from all your devices [routers/switches] would be saved on the sever. You can use the Kiwi Syslog Daemon for the same, which is available for free on the net.

Refer to the following link for knowing the commands for the same -->

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps663/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080122360.html

Else refer to the following link -->

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios123/123newft/123t/123t_4/gtconlog.htm#wp1027188

Maybe it will help.
