Is there any recommendations or guidelines to follow to setup logging on a cisco router. Is it recommended to leave logging on to all sources and any recommendation for buffer size?
Generally, you should log sev 3 and below (3 - 0) and its smart to buffer the messages. set up timestamping also. As far as syslog servers go, its nice to have a repository for all that traffic, take a look at ciscoworks.
