Loopback Testing

Hi All

I am getting carrier transitions on my serial interface which is connected to a leased line. This is causing the serial interface to go up and down quite regularly. I beleive this is either a hardware problem or a Carrier detect problem. I wanted to do a loopback test to the csu device to check for errors. Could anyone advise me on the best way to do this and what debug commands to use, and what to look for. My router is a 2503, any advice on doing the loopback test would be appreciated.

Thanks
