Lost subnets on a router

I have a 2611 router with 2 serial and 2 ethernet interfaces. I have 7 subnets spread across the 2 ethernet interfaces. I have lost connectivity to 2 of these subnets. One of the lost subnets is on e0 and the other on e1. The other 5 are still fine.

When doing a tracert to the ip address of either of these 2 subnet's interfaces I am getting intermittant timeouts at my router itself. Any ideas please?

Re: Lost subnets on a router

Greetings:

Three things come to mind. First, do you have "no ip route-cache" on each of the ethernet interfaces? Second, are you using the router to go between subnets on the same ethernet. If you are, that is not what being able to do multiple subnets on an interface was meant for and you should use a switch. Third, is it time/load related when it fails?

Thanks...Steve
