I have a Catalyst 2950ST-8-LRE with CPE 575 in use.
With the default autonegotiation setting on the CPE port everything works fine but when I want to stet the CPE port speed and duplex, the LRE link doesn't come up after a link failure.
The problem configuration:
Switch(config-if)# cpe speed 10
Switch(config-if)# cpe duplex half
When I remove these settings from the LRE interface, the LRE link comes up without any problems.
What do I do wrong?
I have to connect an old device which does not follow the autonegotiation standard to the CPE port. So in this situation I have to fix the port speed and duplex on the CPE.
