LRE Technology

hi,

I know that the maximum distance for LRE is 1.5 Km.

I already bought a LRE switch with the cisco 575 ,then I discover that the distance between the two site is around 1.7 Km, i tried to connect but I couldnot :(

is there is a way to increase the max. distance allowed form the LRE switch to cisco 575?? like Is there is a kind of repeater I can use between the LRE switch and the cisco 575 that will increase the allowed distance ?

please help ....

The LRE technology is not a "repeatable" technology. So putting a repeater in

the line is a unsupported configuration

OK, what about cascading ?

can I put another LRE with 575 in the way between the two sites?

like this:

Site1 Site2

I'm trying not to lose money,because I have already the LRE and the 575 :)
