MAC-accounting on AS5350 doesn't seem to work correctly
I have been using mac-accounting on a 3640 sucessfully for quite a while now. I also use mac-accouting on a 2620. Imagine my surprise when I tried mac-accounting on FastEthernet0/0 on an AS5350 and seemingly got lied to. The counts always seem to be way low. I have used FTP to transfer a file of known size to a host through this interface. I examined the mac-accounting output at the command line and via snmp before and after the file transfer. The byte counters MUST be wrong. The byte count was way too low.
I have tried a few different IOS releases but currently have the following loaded:
IOS (tm) 5350 Software (C5350-IS-M), Version 12.2(2)XB10, EARLY DEPLOYMENT RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
