does a mac add. replicate on all the switches in a clusterd switching environment

Can you be more specific? -- MAC addresses or MAC address tables are not distributed.

Source and destination MAC addresses are learnt from frames that traverse through the switch, that way all intermediate switches built an unique mac-address-table.
