Mac Based access lists

I have created mac based access lists on 2950 switch and i have applied the same its working fine,

But the same access lists is not working on the cisco 4500 series switch which is running on IOS 12.25(EWA).

Note:-In Both the switches dot1x authentication is enable.

When you state that the mac acl is not working on the 45k switch - does that mean to say that the config has been applied and the switch has therfore accepted the config but it doesn't work?

There is perhaps an alternative to mac based acl's. It is referred to as 'Port Security'. Take a look at this url:

Thanks for your reply,but the same acl's is working on 2950 switch.

I cant use the port security,because i have implemented the dot1x authentication.

(Port security and 802.1X port-based authentication cannot both be configured on the same port: )
