If switch(2950) port is connected with a HUB, and multiple user mac address can be view on this port e.g,

sh mac-address-table | in Fa0/13

If 4 user are connected, in hub 4 mac MAC can be seen , if i want to restrict any perticular MAC address on this port what command can be set on port 13.

Thank you.

Is it mandatory for you to use a HUB to spit the end user connection ?

I am using Switch to extend client, but some time at some places for a 4 to 5 client i cannot purchase a new 2950 switch.

Hi Mansoor,

You can configure port security on fa0/13.

What you can do is configure max mac count which means how many maximum mac address you want this port to learn and then you can configure some particular secure static mac address also on the same port.

Have a look at this link and will resolve your issue.

HTH, if yes please rate the post.

Can I implement MAC ACL on the interface.

Hi Mansoor,

AFAIK MAC ACL is only for non ip traffic.

Port Security is the best way to achieve the desired results.
