Can anybody say definitely whether a single CiscoWorks 2000 server will support a mingling of SSH-enabled and non-SSH devices? I mined CCO Search and 9 months of this forum but I can't locate that answer.

Yes, it is possible to manage both SSH enabled devices as well Non-SSH Enabled devices in a single Cisco Works Server.
If a Config job is scheduled which includes both SSH and Non-SSH enabled devices in RME3.4, and SSH is chosen to be the preferred protocol the job will be attempted to execute using SSH else will fallback to telnet if the device doesn't support SSH.
In RME 3.5 the fallback needs to be configured using
Resource Manager Essentials -> Administration -> Configuration Management -> Configuration Job
Setup -> Fallback on Failure(Check the check box) when SSH is set as the first
protocol.
Also please note that CWK Supports SSH only for Config applications and it is
supported from RME 3.4 onwards.

Thank you! That's perfect.
Our CWLMS K9 upgrade will support the crypto IOS project for SSH... exactly what I needed in writing.
