Managing Syslog_info in RME

Can anyone provide tips on how they manage their syslog_info file on RME under Solaris? My system has only been up for a month or so now and the file is 580MB. Thanks in advance.

Re: Managing Syslog_info in RME

Within RME itself, you can eanble the policy of how many messages you want to keep upto x days. And can also enable the purge policy to delete them periodically. As for the syslog file on your solaris server itself, you may have some PIX which tend to send a large number if messages can can fill this up quickly. May want to tweak the syslog severity level on your devices as well.
