manual dial out

Can I use reverse telnet on a as5300 for the following application: Vendors will VPN into a DMZ on a network then telnet to the as5300, acting as a term server, then reverse telnet into devices that they support such as a pbx, that causes the 5300 to dial into modems attached to the supported devices? Are there any sample configs around?

Re: manual dial out

All you need is a chat-script that

defines the dialing to a particular

remote device, and then apply that

chat-script to a line with the command

"script connection NAME". When a reverse

telnet session is established to a line,

it will execute that chat-script and

dial the configured number.

Note that the line is now dedicated for this

use.
