Maximum Number of EIGRP Neighbor Adjacencies?

What is the maximum number of EIGRP neighbor adjacencies a router can have? I know that the type of router along with number of interfaces, memory etc.... will affect this but I was wondering if there was a hard limit set by the IOS or any design recommendations by Cisco. Any answers or links would be helpful. thanks

Theoretically there are no limitations as such mentioned in Cisco IOS for forming Eigrp neighboring adjacencies. For OSPF I remember in a single area you can have 70 routers beyond that they go in for configuring another area to avoid too many no of adjacencies in OSPF.

So as such there is no limitation for eigrp, as you said it is dependent on the model of the router being used.

as a general rule, keep it small. summarize as much as possible, use stub routing on edge devices with one path into the network. on lan interfaces i try to keep the neighbor count to 10 -20 max.
