Hi. Does anybody know how to track the inbound and outbound IP traffic in terms of bytes on CISCO router. I need this to calcuate the bandwidth utilization on my Internet link.

If the purpose is to size the Internet link you can use either:
MRTG (Download from the Internet)
Or network associates Router PM
you can easily get MRTG from the net, which can give you utilization reports over period of time.

all you have to do is use a standard SNMP mib browser. You want to monitor the object ID of 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10 which is IfInOctecs and the object ID of 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16 which is IfOutOctets. This will let you monitor inbound and outbound traffic. Set this on your outside interface of the router. I use the program What's Up with its snmp graphing utilitie.
thanks
Michael
