Memory req. for full internet routing

Anyone know what the minimum memory requirement on a 7204 router is for running BGP, receiving the full internet routing table? Or a link to where I can find this sort of information

Minimum requirement is a 128MB, but 256M would bea good start.

The number of prefixes in the Internet routing table is increasing day by day. 100,000 routes in the internet table consumes roughly 70 MB of memory. That would mean that you will also need additional memory for decompressing and storing IOS, since you are having 7200, you will run CEF, which will require more memory.

128 minimum, 256 preferred, but in most cases, if you dont require full routes, you can get by with less. If you are not using more than two seperate ISP's you really do not require full routes. Just ask the ISP's to send partial or local routes. If you look at your mem usage while carrying full routes, most of the mem is just eaten by the BGP table.
