Messages relative to HSRP changing state

Hello,

I need to know if any Snmp traps or Syslog messages are generated when there is a standby Hsrp router that becomes active.

And if yes, I need the mnemonic.

I thank you

Hello,

this is a HSRP syslog message:

%STANDBY-6-STATECHANGE: Standby: 30: BVI9 state Standby^I -> Active

The mnemonic is STATECHANGE , facility STANDBY and severity 6.

You can also configure HSRP traps on the router. The trap that gets generated is cHsrpStateChange which is sent when a cHsrpGrpStandbyState transitions to either active or standby state, or leaves active or standby state. There will be only one notification issued when the state change is from standby to active and vice versa". See http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/SNMP/snmp_traps.html for more details.
