Mica | Configuration help | Disconnect 0x6008

Hello,

we use an AS5300 for analogous dial in.

If we do a local call, the PC can establish a connection.

But if do a long distance call with the very same configuration,

then no connection is established.

We get "disconnect 0x6008", that means that it took to long

to complete the connection. Probably the line is very noisy.

We only have the modemcap mica (=&F).

Any suggestions concerning a better (maybe more fault tolerant)

configuration?

Any ideas welcome.

Best regards, Snitram

What modem portware do you have on the as5300 MICA modems? You need to add an appropriate modemcap based on the portware in use.

Please refer to the below doc for the same:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/recc_modemcaps.html

If the line is indeed noisy can try locking the modem to do v.34 instead of v90.

s29 register setting needs to be adjusted for the same (in the same modemcap that you add).

Thanks, Mak.
