Microsoft Network Neighborhood function

Hi,

Can I use router access list to restrict Microsoft Network Neighborhood function, but allow file & printer sharing function?

Best Regards,

Re: Microsoft Network Neighborhood function

Netbios uses UDP ports 137, 138.

Now 137 is used for Browsing requests as well as name lookups for File and Printer sharing. 138 is used for Netbios datagram responses.

TCP port 139 is used for File/Printer sessions.

So if you block port udp 137 and 138, you will be block not only Netbios browsing, but also name lookups of File and Printer services. So I think this is not possible.
