misleading message

Hi all,

there are two routersin place, which should connected with a 256Kbit/sec link. But the "show int ser 0/0" command responds with the message "Available Bandwidth 192 kilobits/sec".

What can be the reason for this ?

Thanks in advance

Re: misleading message

I am not sure I understood the question, but if you mean to say that the actual bandwidth of the circuit is different than the bandwidth you see when you issue "show interface s0/0" command, then make sure you have the proper bandwidth statement configured for the interface..

From the interface configuration command line, try

bandwidth 256

the bandwidth of 256 KBit /sec is configured on the router interface. But nevertheless I see a difference between the configured link and the available bandwidth

router_1#show interface s0/0

Serial0/0 is up, line protocol is up

Hardware is PowerQUICC Serial

Internet address is x.x.x.x
