missing eigrp interface

with a "show ip eigrp interface" the routers show serial 0/0 and fastethernet 0/0 at 18 of our sites, but 2 sites show only serial 0/0. It appears the networks are being advertised but why is the fastethernet 0/0 int. missing. All configs appear the same, 3600 and 2600 routers with ios 12.2

anyone have any ideas?.

Re: missing eigrp interface

Hello.

It is possible that the missing interface is configured as passive-interface.

You should look for one of the following configuration commands on you're routers:

1) router eigrp x

passive-interface FastEthernet 0/0

In this case just remove the command "passive-interface FastEthernet 0/0"

2) router eigrp x

passive-interface default

no passive-interface Serial 0/0

In this case just add the command "no passive-interface FastEthernet 0/0"

Hope this will help you.

Boaz.

Re: missing eigrp interface

The fast ethernets being marked passive can cause this, as the other poster noted. If the interfaces are not marked passive, we will need more information to resolve this--we would need the configs, and a show ip eigrp topo for the specific route connected through these interfaces, I think, as a start. If they are not marked as passive, then I would guess it would be best to open a TAC case to figure out what is going on.
