MLS on 6506 hybrid-mode IOS

hi,

I want to apply some rate-limit functions with access-lists(that is,rate-limit is set to restrict some access groups' traffic) on an interface of Cat 6506,running hybrid mode IOS,ver 12.1-11b.

But it does not work.

In fact,if the rate-limit is used without access-list ,it runs.

To investigate the problem I tried to disable fast-swtiching on that interface ,BUT no change occured.

I think ,MLS maybe the source of the problem.Since MLS is enabled on all interfaces, not processing access-list function, 6506 switches the packest so no rate-limit is applied.

Do you know whether MLS is disabled for some interfaces?

or another way to overcome this problem?

Tahsin,

Can you send some of your or all of your qos configuration used. Also you might try to get your rate-limiting requirements met with a policer instead. Here is a link describing this.
