Mobile IP: Running EIGRP/OSPF on roaming interface

I have set up a Mobile IP lab with 2650 routers running IOS 12.2(11)T, IP PLUS feature.

I have two mobile routers (MR) in the lab. FastEthernet0/0 is the roaming interface (ip mobile router-service roam). Roaming between the different foreign-agents (FA) works very well.

However, I am also running a dynamic routing protocol on the MR's. This is because I also want to connect the two MR's together using the roaming interface. The interfaces are on a common subnet, so IP-connectivity are ok.

The problem is that both EIGRP and OSPF doesn't seem to work when the interface is configured as a roaming interface. EIGRP shows no neighbor. OSPF shows the interface as passive (no hellos). I have also tried RIP, with the same result. If I disable Mobile IP roaming, the routing protocols works normal on the interfaces, and the MR's can exchange routes.

Has anyone information wether this is a bug, or normal behavior?

Regards,

-Paul
