Mobile IP

Dear Sir,

Can mobile ip supports on Catalyst 3550, Catalyst 4506 and Catalyst 6513

Re: Mobile IP

Using software advisor, I dont see it on the 3550 and 4506 (even with sup 4). But I do see it on the 6000 family, with sup 720, Sup 2(MSFC2,PFC2), Sup1(MSFC1), Sup1(MSFC2), Sup2(MSFC2) (no support on Sup1 without MSFC).

All the above Sup's need IOS version of image and not the CatOS.

Re: Mobile IP

Could i check further with you on the following questions?

1) How many virtual network can I create in Home Agent?

2) Can a router be a Home and Foreign Agent at the same time?

3) An AP can be a Proxy Mobile IP (PMIP), how many foreign client it can support? I need to add in the ip address of the column provided in the menu, is ther any limitation to it?

4) Can Cisco act as a PIMP for other third party wireless client which is not Cisco? If not what is other alternative can i have?

5) What is the limitation of Mobile IP? What it cannot do?

6) What design areas we should look into if Mobile IP is to be implemented?

7) What are the requirements of Mobile IP?

8) Will Cisco support Mobile IP in future on Catalyst 3550 and Catalyst 4506?

9) Proxy Mobile IP is currently not supported with VLANs. Do not enable

VLANs if you plan to use proxy Mobile IP. Does it mean that If I have wireless VLAN implemented, i could not have L3 roaming? When Cisco is going to support it?
