Monitoring VLAN traffic via SNMP

Is there a way to get the number of bytes traversing through a VLAN via SNMP? The network topology that I deal with consists of catalyst switches with a couple of VLANs that are routed via an external router or an integrated RSM module. We want to monitor the incoming and outgoing traffic for every VLAN with MRTG. Are there MIB variables available similar to ifInOctets or ifOutOctets but for VLANs? Or can this task only be handled by the RealTimeMonitor with RMON in conjunction with a hardware switch probe that examines trunk port traffic ?

Thanks.

No MIBs for what you're looking for. Need to use RTM with NAM/Probes.
