monitorization switch port

Hello,

I want to connect an IDS to a switch, probably to one Catalyst 6500. The problem is I don't know how to configure a monitor port, I mean, a port which receives all the traffic. A not switched port.

Some switches and routers have one specific port to do it (a port whose behavior is like a hub port), but I've not found it in any Cisco Switches, so I've supposed I have to configure it in somewhere.

You need the Catalyst Switch Port Analyzer (SPAN) Feature.
