The error messages you are seeing means that you have removed the
controller config, but did not remove the serial channel config first.
Therefore the configs for the serial interface still exists, and is trying
to start. But because the channel-groups no longer exist, the serial
interface has no "anchor" or way to work on the box, so it is making these
errors.
