%MPA68360-1-STOPFAIL Messages on a Cisco 7500

<pre>The same message appears for STOPFAIL:

Error Message %MPA68360-1-STARTFAIL: [chars]: Channel enable failed

Explanation: A software or hardware error occurred.

The MPA68360 is not responding to commands used to initialize it. I am

using a Cisco 7500 with VIP and a channelized port adapter.

Re: %MPA68360-1-STOPFAIL Messages on a Cisco 7500

The error messages appear because the controller config has been

removed, but the serial channel config was not removed first. Therefore,

the configs for the serial interface still exists, and are trying to start.

Because the channel-groups no longer exist, the serial interface has no

way to work on the router, so these errors appear.
