MST recommended guidelines

Hello,

i've found the following statement , but no supporting documents.

I'd like to know the official Cisco postition.

Vlan1 is used to carry vtp data and bpdu's for MST according to 802.1q.

You do not want this traffic on the link.

MST preserves the VLAN 1 disabled functionality except that BPDUs are

still transmitted in VLAN 1.

The BPDU sent over Instance 0 and not over VLAN 1.

Istance 0 and Vlan1 are not the same.

Please don't use instance 0 for any VLANs.

Also you should map VLAN1 to another instance.

Thanks,

Patrizio
