multi-area OSPF resilience

For multi-area OSPF, if i have two routers connecting between two areas for resilience, do i need to do routing control in order to prevent loop?

You don't have to do anything special in order to prevent loops in such a setup; OSPF has distance-vector behaviour between its areas and this takes care of loop prevention for you. In addition, OSPF's method of choosing the best route (listed below) also helps:

- intra-area

- inter-area

- external type-1

- external type-2
